Family Feud (Rev A) came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993, developed by Imagineering. It was part of that wave of straightforward adaptations of popular game shows that filled out the SNES library alongside more action oriented titles. The game captures the look and sound of the TV show pretty well, with digitized host Richard Dawson and a familiar set.
You control a cursor to select answers from a grid, either solo or with a friend. The main goal is to guess the most popular survey responses before your opponent or the clock runs out. Key mechanics include the Fast Money round, where you give five rapid answers for a big point bonus, and the risk reward of trying to steal the board after three strikes. The pacing is quick, especially in later rounds, and the difficulty comes from trying to think like a crowd of survey respondents. It feels like a relaxed, social experience, even when you are just playing against the computer.
