Fantastic Dizzy came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by Codemasters. It was one of those side-scrolling platformers that felt right at home in the early 90s, with colorful, blocky graphics and a cheerful soundtrack. You played as Dizzy, an egg with gloves and shoes, in a fantasy world full of simple charm and straightforward goals.

You control Dizzy by running, jumping, and pushing or carrying objects like keys, rocks, and magic items. The main goal is to explore the kingdom, rescue your friends, and gather items to progress. The game moves screen by screen, with each area presenting environmental puzzles or light combat against creatures like snails or birds. Pacing is slow and deliberate; you often backtrack or experiment with inventory. It feels satisfying when a stubborn puzzle finally clicks and you move forward.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
