Game Overview

FIFA Street 2 came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2006, developed by EA Sports BIG. It was part of that wave of arcade sports games that felt right at home on the PSP, something you could pick up and play in short bursts without getting bogged down in realism.

You control a team of street footballers, pulling off exaggerated tricks and skill moves to outplay opponents in small sided matches. The main goal is to win games by scoring, but style matters just as much; building up your Gamebreaker meter lets you unleash a flashy, high percentage shot. The controls are built around chaining tricks together, using the analog nub and face buttons to flick, spin, and juggle the ball. Matches are fast, a little chaotic, and winning often comes down to timing your moves just right. It feels like pulling off a perfectly timed trick in a real pickup game, only turned up to eleven.
