Formula 1 Grand Prix came out on the Amiga in 1987, developed and published by MicroValue, Ltd. You control a single Formula 1 car from a behind the vehicle perspective, managing your speed and steering through each lap. The main objective is to win races and eventually secure the championship across a full season. Key mechanics include a six speed manual gearbox, timed qualifying sessions to set your grid position, and full race weekends with tire wear and fuel consumption. The pacing is deliberate, demanding careful throttle control and strategic pit stops; the difficulty is high, especially when racing against aggressive computer drivers.
