Play Fort Apache Online
You micromanage riflemen and cavalry in a creaky old fort, swearing when bandits flank you through the canyon—then grin as your last volley finally connects.

Game Overview
Fort Apache is one of those old-school MS-DOS strategy games where you're suddenly in charge of a ragtag group of soldiers defending a frontier fort. At first, it feels like you're just clicking orders—move here, shoot there—but then the chaos kicks in when bandits start flanking your position or your cavalry gets pinned down in a canyon.
The interface is clunky by today's standards (you'll spend a lot of time in that sidebar menu), but there's something weirdly satisfying about lining up a volley of rifle fire just right. And yeah, the AI isn't exactly brilliant—sometimes enemies just stand there while you pick them off—but when a battle actually clicks, it feels like a proper Wild West skirmish.
If you can handle the retro jank, it's a neat little time capsule of early tactical games. Just don't expect anything polished.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
