You're a human exhibit in a robot-run museum, scrambling to solve a murder before they scrap you—while debating civil rights with malfunctioning droids in a broken-down dystopian D.C.

Game Overview
Free D.C.! is one of those weird, darkly funny MS-DOS adventures that sticks with you. You play as one of the last humans—turns out we’re basically zoo animals now, gawked at by robot overlords. The whole thing looks like a surreal Claymation nightmare, with these jerky, unsettling animations and garbled robot voices.
Instead of the usual inventory puzzles, you’re mostly talking your way through a murder mystery with a 12-hour in-game clock ticking down. The robots have this bizarre obsession with American history, so you’re wandering past half-broken monuments and artifacts while trying not to get scrapped. Some of the dialogue options are hilariously bleak, like arguing with a maintenance droid about whether humans even deserve rights.
It’s janky in that old-school adventure game way, but the atmosphere is so thick you can almost smell the motor oil. Just don’t expect hand-holding—you’ll miss half the clues if you rush.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
