Game Overview

Okay, so Frogger II: Threedeep! takes everything you remember about dodging cars and turns it upside down—literally. You're not just hopping across a highway anymore; you're diving through three layers of ocean, each weirder than the last. The surface has these speedboats that don’t care about frog safety, the middle zone’s full of jellyfish that just float there menacingly, and the deep? Oh, the deep has submarines. Like, why are there submarines hunting frogs? Classic Atari logic.

What really got me was the froglings—tiny baby frogs you gotta rescue. They’re just sitting there waiting, and if you miss one, you’ll feel guilty. The colors pop way more than you’d expect for 1983, and the music’s that perfect blend of cheerful and stressful. It’s still Frogger, but with way more personality. Parker Bros really went for it here.

Also, the octopus is a jerk. Just saying.
