Game Overview

Galactic Pinball is exactly what it sounds like—pinball, but in space, and in that weird red-and-black Virtual Boy vibe that kind of makes you feel like you're playing inside a laser tag arena. The ball physics are surprisingly decent, and the first few minutes are mostly spent just figuring out how the flippers feel and trying not to drain the ball in three seconds flat (which, yeah, happened to me more than once).

There are a few different tables, each with their own quirks. One has you smacking into alien ships to rack up points, and another tosses in little missions mid-game, like hitting certain targets to “save the colony” or something equally dramatic. I mean, it’s still just pinball, but with space vibes and a touch of chaos. The perspective shifts a bit depending on the table, which honestly threw me off at first—but you get used to it.

It’s not the deepest game out there, but Galactic Pinball does a decent job of making it feel like you’re batting a shiny metal ball around a busted-up space station. And yeah, the music’s kind of bleepy, but it fits the whole sci-fi theme. If nothing else, it’s a solid excuse to hear your Virtual Boy make spaceship noises while you try not to tilt the whole thing in frustration.
