Galactix is one of those MS-DOS games that somehow makes you sweat while barely moving your ship. You’re not just blasting enemies—you’re dropping blocks like some kind of cosmic bricklayer, trying to box them in before they swarm you. Mess up the timing, and suddenly you’re trapped in your own terrible maze with angry aliens closing in.
The soundtrack hits that perfect retro synth vibe, and the neon grid looks like someone spilled glow sticks on a chessboard. It’s simple at first, but after a few rounds, you start seeing patterns, planning three moves ahead—until an enemy slips past and ruins everything. Classic ‘90s frustration, in the best way.
Honestly, it’s the kind of game where you lose an hour without realizing it, muttering “one more try” as your ship gets cornered again. Still holds up.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
