Game Overview
Galaga (J) is one of those arcade shooters that feels simple until you realize how deep it goes. At first, it's just dodging alien formations and shooting back, but then you notice the patterns—the way certain enemies dive bomb, others hover, and those damn tractor beams that steal your ship if you're not careful.
I remember the first time I got my ship captured, then shot down the alien holding it. Suddenly I had two fighters, side by side, firing twice as fast. Felt unstoppable—until I got cocky and flew right into a swarm.
The challenge stages are a nice break, just pure shooting without the pressure. But the real hook is that hit ratio at the end—seeing how many shots you wasted makes you want to play again, just to be more precise.
Galaga (J) doesn't reinvent anything, but it's tight, punishing, and weirdly satisfying when you finally clear a tough wave.
