Game Overview

Galaga 94 was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection released in 1994, developed by Namco. It arrived during a time when arcade-style shooters were common on home computers, offering a familiar but refined take on the classic formula without pushing technical boundaries.

You control a small fighter ship at the bottom of the screen, shooting formations of insect-like aliens that dive and swarm in increasingly complex patterns. The main goal is to survive wave after wave, clearing each stage by destroying every enemy. Key mechanics include capturing enemy ships to double your firepower and triggering bonus stages by destroying specific formations. The pacing is brisk, with difficulty that escalates quickly but remains fair through careful pattern recognition. It feels tense and rewarding when you thread through a curtain of enemy fire to pick off a high-value target.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
