Terry’s early days—dodging between planes feels clunky now, but landing that first Power Geyser still hits right. The AI blocks like a brick wall, but you’ll keep coming back to crack it.

Game Overview

This is the SNES port of the original Fatal Fury, back when SNK was just figuring out how to make fighting games feel good. You’ve got Terry Bogard’s iconic red cap, Joe Higashi’s tornado kicks, and Geese Howard being the smug final boss he always is. The two-plane fighting system feels a little janky now—characters hop between foreground and background lanes—but it was wild for its time.

Honestly, the controls are stiff compared to later SNK fighters, and the AI loves to cheese you with endless blocks. But there’s something charming about how rough it is, like watching an old action movie where the punches don’t quite connect. If you’re curious about where Terry’s "OKAY!" started, this is it.
