Play GATO Online
Hunched over sonar in a creaky sub, you hold your breath as enemy propellers get louder—one wrong move and it's all over. Those pixel-perfect torpedo shots after tense cat-and-mouse chases still give me sweaty palms.

Game Overview
Man, GATO was something else—one of those MS-DOS games that made you forget you were just staring at a chunky CRT monitor. You're crammed into this digital submarine, listening for enemy ships on sonar while trying not to get depth-charged into oblivion. The first time I played, I botched a torpedo shot so badly the whole crew probably mutinied.
What I love about it is how unapologetically intense it is. No hand-holding, no fancy cutscenes—just you, a periscope view, and the constant dread of hearing propellers overhead. Nailing a perfect attack run after twenty minutes of silent stalking feels like defusing a bomb. And yeah, the graphics are ancient now, but the tension? Still holds up. If you ever wanted to know why submariners earn their paychecks, this’ll give you a clue.
Just don’t be surprised when you catch yourself holding your breath during evasive maneuvers.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
