Game Overview

GB Harobots (Japan) is one of those weird little Game Boy Color games that somehow sticks with you. You control this tiny robot—way smaller than you’d expect—zooming through side-scrolling levels packed with enemies that just keep coming. The weapons feel satisfyingly chunky, like the screen shakes a little when you fire, and the controls are tight enough that when you die (and you will), it’s usually your fault.

The pixel art has that late-'90s Japanese charm—bright colors, exaggerated explosions, and robots that look like they jumped straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon. It never made it outside Japan, which is a shame because it’s got that perfect balance of simple controls and "wait, how did I just die?" difficulty spikes. If you’ve got a soft spot for obscure mecha games, this one’s a fun little time capsule.

Seriously, dig out your GBC and give it a shot—just don’t blame me when you get stuck on the third stage for an hour.
