Gee Bee Air Rally is one of those Amiga games that makes you realize how much fun flying should be—if only real planes could barrel-roll through canyon passes at 250mph. You're racing against the clock, weaving between giant floating cones that mark the course, and if you drift outside them for even a second, your timer drains like sand through a sieve. No cheating—those cones mean business.

There’s something oddly satisfying about the way the planes handle—just heavy enough to feel real, but nimble enough that you can skim past opponents without (usually) exploding. Every couple races, you get a break from the time trials with a bonus round where you’re popping balloons mid-flight for points. It’s chaotic in the best way, like someone mixed a flight sim with an arcade shooter and forgot to tell the pilots.

Sixteen courses might not sound like much, but between the tight turns and the other planes trying to clip your wings, you’ll be replaying them just to shave seconds off your time. The whole thing feels like a love letter to those old-school air races where goggles and leather helmets were safety gear.
