Game Overview

Gekitou! Custom Robo is one of those DS games that makes you wish more people knew about it. You start by picking a basic robo frame—nothing fancy, just enough to get you into your first fight. But after a few battles, you realize how deep the customization goes. Swapping out legs for better mobility, testing different guns that actually feel distinct, tweaking your bot until it finally clicks with how you want to play.

The battles themselves are fast and chaotic, but not in a messy way. There’s strategy in how you move, when to attack, and which parts you’ve equipped. I remember stubbornly sticking with a slow, heavy build at first because the cannon looked cool, only to get wrecked by speedy opponents. Lesson learned.

If you’re into mech games where tuning your robot matters as much as your reflexes, this one’s a hidden gem. Just don’t blame me when you lose track of time tweaking your loadout.
