Ghost House on the Sega Master System feels like someone took Alex Kidd and threw him into a B-movie horror flick. You’re this little guy with a comically oversized fist, punching your way through a haunted house packed with bats, skeletons, and—of course—Dracula himself. The controls are stiff in that classic 80s way, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about walloping ghosts with a giant cartoon hand.
It’s actually a remake of an old arcade game called Monster Bash, though the Master System version gives it more of a platformer feel. The music’s got that eerie chiptune vibe, and the levels are short but packed with cheap enemy placements (because 80s game design loved punishing you). Not gonna lie, it’s janky, but if you’re into retro oddities, this one’s a fun little time capsule.
