Play GI King! - Sanbiki no Yosouya (Japan) Online
Three fortune-telling gremlins roll dice and mess with each other in this chaotic little Game Boy board game—half luck, half nonsense, all weirdly addictive.
GI King! - Sanbiki no Yosouya is a Japan-exclusive Game Boy release from 1990, developed by TOSE and published by Irem. It arrived during a period when the handheld was flooded with quirky, experimental titles, and this one fits right in with its oddball premise and offbeat charm.
You control one of three fortune-telling gremlins, each trying to outmaneuver the others on a board full of unpredictable spaces. The main goal is to reach the end first, but getting there is anything but straightforward. You roll dice to move, but landing on certain spaces lets you use special abilities to swap positions, reverse directions, or force opponents to lose turns. The pacing is brisk, with turns flying by and alliances forming and breaking in an instant. It feels like controlled chaos, a mix of luck and light strategy that keeps you engaged even when the dice are against you.
