Kratos on the PSP feels like a miracle—somehow, they crammed all the chaos of God of War into that little handheld. This prequel throws you right into it: you’re hacking through Persian soldiers in Attica within minutes, the Blades of Chaos still satisfyingly crunchy even on a smaller screen. The usual mix of brutal combos, quick-time executions, and the occasional "wait, how do I move this giant box?" puzzle keeps things familiar, though dodging takes some getting used to (thanks, PSP button limits).
You’ll still hunt for those red orbs to upgrade your weapons, but there’s new stuff too—like the Sun Shield, which lets you block and counter in a way that feels almost unfair. And yeah, Morpheus shows up to ruin everything, because when does Kratos ever get a simple job? It’s shorter than the console games, but for a portable brawler, it punches way above its weight. Just don’t blame me when your thumbs cramp up.
