Golf (PC10) is one of those early NES sports games that somehow nails the basics despite its simplicity. You pick your club, adjust your stance, and time your swing—it's all there, just without the fancy graphics.
The three camera angles actually work better than you'd expect. The zoomed-out view helps plan your shot, while the close-up on the green makes putting feel tense. I remember spending way too long lining up a putt, only to watch it lip out at the last second.
It's not flashy, but Golf (PC10) has this weirdly satisfying rhythm to it. The two-player mode is where it really shines—nothing like watching your friend shank a shot into the rough.
