Heavyweight Championship Boxing on Game Boy is one of those simple-but-surprisingly-deep sports games. You pick from six boxers—each with their own quirks, like one being fast but weak, another a slow tank—and tweak their stats a bit if you want. I usually dump points into strength because, well, punching hard solves problems.

Fights play out in either first-person (which feels weirdly intense for a Game Boy game) or third-person. Landing a clean uppercut while dodging their swings never gets old, even if the sprites are tiny. Just watch your stamina—swing too wildly and you’ll leave yourself open. It’s basic, but there’s something satisfying about chipping away at their health bar until they finally hit the canvas.
