Game Overview

You’re in the cockpit of a Bundeswehr helicopter, but don’t expect any dogfights—this one’s all about rescue missions. The game throws you straight into picking a copilot, though there’s a weird (and very dated) twist: if you pick the woman, the game basically tells you "nope, not allowed" and makes you choose the guy instead. Yeah, it’s a clunky relic of ‘90s military rules, but hey, at least the helicopters are cool.

You’ve got three to pick from—the nimble BO 105, the classic Bell UH-1 D, or the hulking Sea King. Doesn’t really matter which you take; they all handle differently, but the missions stay the same. Mostly it’s dropping food, hauling survivors out of floods, or patching up busted dikes with sandbags. No guns, just good ol’ humanitarian work with a side of awkwardly strict gender roles.

It plays like those old Strike games, but way more chill. You’ll spend most of your time carefully lowering rescue harnesses or trying not to dump sandbags on civilians. The controls take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, there’s something weirdly satisfying about nailing a perfect supply drop.
