Game Overview

Hired Guns on the Amiga was one of those games that felt way ahead of its time. You control a squad of four mercenaries in a sci-fi dungeon crawl, each with their own screen—split into quarters like some kind of tactical command center. At first, it’s overwhelming figuring out who’s doing what, but once it clicks, you’re coordinating shots, setting traps, and praying you packed enough medkits.

The atmosphere is grimy and tense, with flickering lights and weird alien noises in the distance. And if you’re not careful, your team will get picked off one by one—permanently. I still remember losing my sniper to a surprise ambush and having to limp through the rest of the mission with three guys. Brutal, but in the best way.

Disk 5 was where things really got wild, by the way. You’ll know when you get there.
