Game Overview

Hook for the Amiga is one of those classic platformers that feels both nostalgic and frustrating in the best way. You play as Peter Pan, swinging around with your hook (obviously) and trying to rescue the Lost Boys from Captain Hook’s clutches. The controls take a second to get used to—expect to miss a few jumps before you nail the timing—but once you do, it’s weirdly satisfying to bounce between ropes and platforms.

The graphics are bright and cartoony, with that unmistakable early '90s Amiga charm. The music’s catchy too, though after a while, you might find yourself humming it against your will. Fair warning: some of the later levels get pretty tough, especially if you’re not great at judging distances mid-swing. Still, it’s a solid little time capsule if you’re into retro platformers.
