Hot Wheels Turbo Racing on N64 is exactly what it sounds like—tiny, ridiculous cars doing absurd things at high speed. You start with a handful of models (some look like they belong on a track, others like they belong in a cereal box), but pulling off stupid stunts—like flipping your car mid-air or grinding on rails—unlocks more. The tracks are full of loops, corkscrews, and jumps that make no physical sense, which is the whole point.
Two-player mode is chaotic fun, especially when you throw in AI racers just to watch everything descend into bumper-car madness. And yeah, the soundtrack slaps—Metallica’s "Fuel" blasting while you yeet a neon orange Hot Wheel through a loop-de-loop never gets old. It’s not the deepest racer, but it doesn’t try to be. You’ll either love how over-the-top it is or bounce off immediately.
