Play Ignition Factor Online

Dodge collapsing ceilings and blast through walls with your hose, rescuing people while the fire spreads—it's chaos, but the kind you can actually control (mostly). The pixel flames look mean, and that last-second escape never gets old.

Game Overview

Ignition Factor came out on the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Jaleco. It was part of that wave of games that tried to do something different with action, moving away from pure fantasy or sci fi into a more grounded, if intense, scenario. You don't see many games about firefighting, especially not ones this committed to the process.

You control a firefighter, moving screen by screen through burning buildings. Your main job is to rescue every civilian before the structure collapses or they succumb to the smoke. The signature mechanics are using your hose to blast away flames and break down walls, managing your limited water supply, and navigating floors that can give out beneath you. The pacing is relentless; new fires ignite behind you, and the clock is always ticking. It feels like a tense, methodical puzzle where a single mistake can undo all your progress.
