It’s over-the-top in the best way.

The recruiting system is weirdly addictive—half the fun is scouting random NPCs in towns and convincing them to join your squad. Some look like they belong in a shonen manga, others look like they just wandered in from a normal soccer game, and somehow they all end up playing together. Matches are fast-paced, but there’s actual strategy too—you can’t just spam super moves and expect to win.

If you like RPGs but wish they had more bicycle kicks, this one’s a blast. Just don’t be surprised when your goalkeeper starts deflecting shots with a glowing energy shield.
