Game Overview

I picked up Iron Man 2 on PSP back in 2010, a portable tie-in to the movie developed by High Voltage Software and published by Sega. It was one of those licensed games that felt right at home on the system, offering some quick, explosive fun during the PSP's later years when portable action games were still a solid draw.

You control Tony Stark as Iron Man, or James Rhodes as War Machine, flying through linear levels to stop various threats. The main goal is to complete mission objectives, which usually involve destroying waves of enemy drones or tackling larger boss fights. Signature mechanics include free flight combat, using repulsors and missiles to engage foes, and customizing your suit between missions with unlocked upgrades. The pacing is fast, though the difficulty can spike unexpectedly during some encounters. It feels like a straightforward, arcade-style shooter that captures the thrill of being in the suit, even if it doesn't overcomplicate things.
