Play Jack Nicklaus' Major Championship Golf Online

Jack Nicklaus serves up his toughest course highlights—you’ll squint at those pixel greens, sweat over putts, and maybe throw a controller when Augusta’s pin placement ruins your round. Grab three friends if you dare.

Game Overview

This NES golf game is basically Jack Nicklaus hand-picking his favorite holes from legendary courses—Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, Augusta—and throwing them together into one punishing 18-hole gauntlet. The 3D view was pretty mind-blowing for its time, though good luck judging distances when your ball looks like a pixelated speck against those chunky greens.

You can play solo or with three friends (if you had that many controllers), either stroke play or skins. The swing mechanics feel stiff now, but back then, sinking a long putt on Muirfield’s 18th actually made you pump your fist. Just don’t expect mercy—some of these pin placements are brutal.
