Play Jagged Alliance Online
You scrape together a team of misfit mercs, counting every bullet and paycheck as you fight through jungles where enemies actually outsmart you if you get sloppy.

Jagged Alliance came out in 1995 for MS-DOS, developed by Sir-tech Software. It was one of those deep, turn-based strategy games that really rewarded patience and planning, typical of the era when games didn’t hold your hand. You weren’t just playing a game; you were managing a small, desperate war on a budget, and it felt consequential from the start.
You control a squad of mercenaries hired to liberate a fictional island nation from a dictator. Each merc has unique skills, moods, and salary demands, so you’re constantly balancing their effectiveness against your limited funds. The game combines tactical, turn-based combat with strategic overworld management; you explore the island sector by sector, engaging enemies in detailed fights where positioning and aimed shots matter. It’s deliberately paced and quite difficult, demanding careful use of action points and inventory. Success feels earned because every decision, from hiring to healing, carries weight and risk.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
