Game Overview

Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Sir-tech Software. It arrived during a time when turn-based tactical games were gaining complexity, offering a leaner, more focused experience than some of its contemporaries.

You control a small team of mercenaries, hiring them based on their skills and cost, then leading them through missions that demand careful planning and execution. The main objective is to complete various contracts, which often involve eliminating targets or securing locations. Signature mechanics include screen-by-screen tactical movement, real-time planning with turn-based combat resolution, and managing your squad's equipment and morale. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can be unforgiving if you rush into engagements. It feels tense and deliberate, rewarding patience and smart positioning over brute force.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
