Game Overview

If you were into flight sims in the '90s, you probably remember Falcon 3.0—that beast of a game that tried to build this whole "Electronic Battlefield" thing. Well, MiG-29 was its Soviet-flavored counterpart, letting you jump into the cockpit of Russia’s answer to the F-16. The flight model felt heavy at first—like you were wrestling a metal pig through the sky—but once you got used to it, pulling off tight turns and dodging missiles actually felt pretty satisfying.

What’s wild is that you could link this up with Falcon 3.0 and Hornet for multiplayer dogfights, which was insane for the time. Shame they never got around to releasing that A-10 sim they teased—imagine strafing runs in a Warthog. The graphics were blocky even back then, but the radar and missile mechanics had this weirdly addictive depth to them. Still one of the better MiG sims out there, if you can stomach the DOS-era jank.
