Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance came out on Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Midway Games. It was one of the more ambitious fighting game ports on the system, trying to bring a console experience into your hands without losing the series' identity.

You choose from a roster of fighters, each with their own unique moves and fatalities, and battle through a series of one-on-one matches. The main goal is to defeat Shang Tsung and Quan Chi's deadly alliance by conquering each opponent in your path. Key mechanics include performing special combos, unlocking hidden characters and arenas by earning koins, and mastering each fighter's weapon-based style. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike sharply, especially in later fights. It feels satisfying to finally execute a perfect combo or discover a new secret after grinding for currency.
