Game Overview

Deadly Racer was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though I don't recall the developer or publisher offhand. It came out during that era when racing games were less about realism and more about pushing hardware limits with simple, fast action. The graphics were blocky, the colors were loud, and it ran on machines that are museum pieces now.

You control a small car from a top-down perspective, weaving through traffic on narrow tracks while trying to outpace opponents. The main goal is straightforward: finish the race without wrecking. Two mechanics stand out: aggressive bumping to shove rivals off the road, and tight, sudden turns that demand quick reflexes. The pacing is relentless; one mistake often sends you spinning into a barrier. It feels like a tense, high-speed scramble where survival depends on split-second decisions.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
