Game Overview

Remember crowding around the TV yelling answers at Jeopardy!? This NES version from Gametek nails that feeling, even if the graphics are obviously 8-bit. Up to three people can play—though if you've got a full group, players 1 and 2 have to awkwardly share a controller (Player 3 gets their own, lucky them).

It works just like the show: six random categories pop up, each with five questions ranked by difficulty. The twist? You 'type' answers by moving a cursor over letter grids—no keyboard here. Spelling has to be perfect (spaces don't count), and you've got 30 seconds before time runs out. Some questions feel brutally outdated now—good luck guessing what was 'current' in 1987.

Final Jeopardy's just as tense as you'd hope—bet your winnings, scribble your answer, then pray. The categories repeat after a few games, but for a while, it's weirdly addictive. Just don't expect modern variety.
