Play Jim Conner's Pro Tennis Tour Online
Swing for the fences with satisfyingly chunky NES tennis—time your shots just right or watch the AI dunk on your weak returns. That crunchy 8-bit thwack sound never gets old.

Jim Conner's Pro Tennis Tour came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, published by Ubisoft. It was one of the later sports titles on the console, arriving at a time when players had already seen a range of arcade-style and simulation attempts. This one tried to carve out its own space with a focus on player control and a clean, if simple, visual presentation.
You control a tennis player from an elevated side view, moving your character around the court to meet the ball. The main objective is to win matches through tournaments or single play, outlasting opponents by managing your stamina and shot placement. Signature mechanics include charging up your shot power by holding the button longer, and aiming your returns with the D-pad to direct the ball toward open court. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical; rushing your swings usually ends in an error. Matches can feel grueling against persistent AI that rarely makes unforced mistakes. It feels like a thoughtful, sometimes punishing test of patience and timing.
