The main objective is to score touchdowns by passing or running the ball, while also trying to stop the opposing team on defense. Signature mechanics include calling audibles at the line to change the play, and a passing system where you select a receiver and then aim your throw. The game moves at a deliberate pace, with some challenge coming from the defensive AI and the limited window to make decisions. It feels straightforward and a little clunky by today's standards, but there's a clear, tactical satisfaction in executing a well-timed play.
