Play Jungle Book, The (Europe) on sega Online

Mowgli slides around like he's on banana peels while you chuck coconuts at monkeys and barely dodge Baloo's clumsy rolls—it's the Jungle Book, but way messier. That vine-swinging feels great once you stop faceplanting into every snake pit.

Game Overview

Remember that old Sega Genesis version of The Jungle Book? The one where Mowgli actually throws coconuts at monkeys instead of singing with them? Yeah, this is that game—and it’s way more chaotic than the movie. You start off jumping over snakes and dodging Baloo’s accidental belly flops (seriously, watch out), and before long you’re swinging from vines like some kind of feral Tarzan.

The controls take a second to get used to—Mowgli slides a bit when he runs, so you’ll eat dirt a few times before nailing the jumps. But once you figure out the timing for bouncing off enemies or chucking fruit at Shere Khan, it clicks. The music’s weirdly catchy too, like someone remixed the movie soundtrack for a 16-bit rave.

It’s not the hardest platformer out there, but some of those later levels? Let’s just say Kaa the snake isn’t the only thing trying to trip you up. Still, there’s something satisfying about beating a game where your main weapon is a well-aimed coconut.
