Play Jungle Book, The (Beta) Online

Game Overview

Ever wondered what The Jungle Book would look like if Disney turned it into a fast-paced SNES platformer? This beta version is a weird little time capsule—Mowgli runs, jumps, and chucks coconuts like he’s in some kind of tropical action movie. The controls take a second to click (why does swinging on vines feel so floaty at first?), but once you get the rhythm, bouncing between treetops while dodging Kaa’s sneaky ambushes is weirdly satisfying.

It’s got that unmistakable 90s Disney vibe—bright colors, bouncy music, and Shere Khan looking like he’s permanently annoyed at your existence. The beta quirks are half the fun: some animations feel unfinished, and there’s a level where the background just… stops rendering properly. Feels like digging up an old sketchbook full of ideas that almost made the final cut.

Not gonna lie, the final release polished things up, but this version’s jank has its own charm. If you’ve got a soft spot for SNES oddities, it’s worth a play just to see how the sausage got made.
