I remember picking up Jungle Book for the Super Nintendo back in 1994, published by Virgin Interactive. It was one of those licensed platformers that felt pretty common at the time, but it had its own vibe. The graphics were colorful, capturing the look of the Disney film, and it fit right in with the era's side scrolling action games.

You control Mowgli, moving through jungle stages, avoiding hazards and fighting enemies like monkeys and Kaa the snake. The main goal is to reach the end of each level, collecting gems and extra lives along the way. A couple of the mechanics stand out: you can throw coconuts as your main attack, and there are vine swinging sections that add some vertical movement. The pacing is fairly quick, though some jumps require precise timing, and the difficulty can spike in later areas. Playing it feels like a straightforward, sometimes unforgiving trip through familiar scenery.
