Game Overview

Just Blob was a Super Nintendo Entertainment System release, though it never saw a formal commercial launch. It feels like one of those experimental platformers from the mid-90s, a time when developers were really pushing what the hardware could do with physics and strange character movement.

You control a gelatinous, stretchy blob, navigating him through a series of obstacle-filled rooms. The main objective is simply to get from the start of each stage to the exit, but the challenge comes from his unique, elastic movement. You grab onto surfaces to stretch your body, then release to slingshot forward or swing across gaps. The physics are unpredictable and often comical; you'll frequently overshoot a jump or get your blob tangled on a corner, forcing you to reset. The pacing is slow and deliberate, demanding patience over quick reflexes. It feels like solving a silly, wobbly puzzle with your hands.
