Play Kentris Online
Rotate and shift tetrominoes to clear lines and survive against speeding drops in this Tetris variant from the MS-DOS era.
Kentris appeared as part of the 0 MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a Tetris variant developed by an unknown creator during the era of shareware and simple, functional PC entertainment. It fits right in with the straightforward, often unpolished puzzle games that circulated on floppy disks, demanding little beyond a willingness to engage with its particular set of rules.
You control the descending tetrominoes, rotating and shifting them to form solid lines that vanish from the screen. The main objective is to survive as long as possible against an accelerating drop speed, but the game is known for its stubborn, sometimes uncooperative rotation mechanics that can trap pieces in awkward positions. Clearing multiple lines at once provides a crucial breather, though the rising difficulty quickly punishes any sloppiness. Playing Kentris feels like a constant, slightly unfair negotiation with the blocks themselves.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
