Play Killer Instinct (Rev A) Online
Choose a fighter and battle through opponents, chaining combos and breaking your rival's attacks in this fast-paced 1994 fighting game for SNES.
Killer Instinct came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Rare. It was one of those games that pushed the hardware, trying to capture the feel of the arcade cabinets that were everywhere at the time. The cartridge even had a special chip inside to help it handle the fast action and digitized characters.
You pick a fighter, like the werewolf Sabrewulf or the ninja Glacius, and face off against a series of opponents. The main goal is to win each round by depleting your opponent's health bar. The signature mechanics are the combo system, where you chain together attacks for massive damage, and the Combo Breaker, which lets you interrupt your opponent's combo if you guess the right button input. The pacing is incredibly fast, and the difficulty ramps up sharply. It feels like a constant test of reflexes and memorization, a real back-and-forth battle of wits and timing.
