Play Killer Instinct (Beta) Online
You mash buttons until combos start clicking, then wreck your friends with ridiculous finishers while the announcer loses his mind. That teleport uppercut still feels unfair in the best way.
Killer Instinct came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Rare. It was a big deal at the time, a fighting game that tried to push the hardware with its fast action and digitized characters. It stood out among other SNES fighters with its aggressive style and over the top presentation.
You pick a fighter like Jago or Sabrewulf and battle through a series of opponents. The main goal is to win each match and eventually defeat the final boss. Key mechanics include building long combos by chaining attacks together and performing flashy, often gruesome, finishing moves called Ultras. The pacing is extremely fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, especially against the computer. It feels chaotic and satisfying when you finally land a huge combo and finish someone off.
