Game Overview

King’s Quest VII: The Princeless Bride is this weirdly charming, super '90s point-and-click adventure from Sierra. The first thing you’ll notice is how much it looks like a Disney movie—like, really looks like one, down to the cover art practically copying The Return of Jafar. But don’t let the cutesy graphics fool you—some of the death scenes are surprisingly brutal for a game that seems aimed at kids.

You switch between two protagonists, Valanice (finally getting her moment after being sidelined in past games) and her daughter Rosella, which was a first for the series. The whole thing’s split into chapters, too, making it feel more like an interactive cartoon. Weirdly, King Graham’s nowhere to be seen, though his name’s still in the credits—guess they cut him last minute?

It’s got that classic Sierra mix of charm and frustration—you’ll probably die a few times figuring out what the game expects you to do, but the world’s so colorful and full of personality that it’s hard to stay mad. Just don’t let your little cousin play it unsupervised—those cartoonish graphics hide some dark moments.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
