Game Overview

Okay, so Kisekae Hamster is this weirdly addictive little Game Boy Color game where you basically play dress-up with a pixel hamster. It’s like someone took a Tamagotchi, gave it a tiny wardrobe, and said, "Go nuts."

First thing you’ll do is pick a hamster—they’re all ridiculously cute, by the way—and then it’s straight to the fun part: outfits. Hats, shirts, glasses, even little props. The customization is surprisingly detailed for a GBC game. My personal favorite? The tiny samurai helmet. No reason, just feels right.

There’s no real "goal," which I actually love. You just decorate, watch your hamster do silly animations, and maybe change its room background if you’re feeling fancy. It’s the kind of game you play for 10 minutes when you need a serotonin boost from a digital rodent wearing sunglasses.

Definitely niche, but if you’re into retro Japanese oddities or just want something stupidly charming, this one’s a gem. The music’s even weirdly catchy.
