Game Overview

Kong is one of those arcade games that looks simple until you actually play it. You're this little pixel dude swinging on vines through a jungle, trying not to get wrecked by rolling boulders or whatever else the game throws at you. The controls feel just stiff enough to make every jump tense—like, you know you should've made that leap, but nope, there goes another quarter.

It's got that classic "rescue the girl" setup, but honestly, I mostly kept playing to see how far I could get before some random bird knocked me into a pit. The levels get brutal fast, but in that satisfying way where you immediately want to try again. If you miss arcade cabinets and that particular flavor of 80s frustration, Kong nails it.
