Las Vegas Girl came out in 1990 as an arcade cabinet release from Arcade Studios. It was part of that wave of games that tried to capture the flash and energy of real world places, something a lot of developers were experimenting with at the time. You control a character simply called the Girl, moving her through a maze of casino floors. The main goal is to collect a set number of coins before the timer runs out, all while avoiding security guards and malfunctioning slot machines that spit hazards across the screen. Two mechanics define the play: a quick dash move to evade enemies, and a temporary invincibility power-up that lets you plow through obstacles. The pacing is relentless; the difficulty spikes sharply after the first couple of stages, demanding quick reflexes.
