Game Overview

Last Armageddon came out on the NES in 1988, developed by Brain Grey. It was one of those late-era releases that felt a bit out of step with the platform's usual offerings, a post-apocalyptic RPG set in a world already destroyed. You don't play as heroes trying to prevent disaster; you're leading the demons who won, and now something worse is coming.

You control a party of demonic characters, navigating the remains of the world through a first-person perspective, screen by screen. Your main goal is to investigate the new threat while managing your team's abilities and resources. Combat is turn-based, with a large selection of spells and attacks, but many feel impractical or wildly unbalanced. The pacing is slow, and the difficulty comes from obscure mechanics and high random encounter rates. It feels like stumbling through a bleak, broken world where every victory is messy and uncertain.
