Play League Challenge Online
1986 Amiga football management game. Control 1 of 64 clubs, manage 11-15 players, train skills, handle injuries. Play 15-match seasons aiming for top-two promotion.
League Challenge came out in 1986 for the Amiga, developed by Atlantis Software Limited. It was one of the early football management sims on the platform, offering a more detailed take on the genre at a time when many games were still quite simple. You take charge of a club and guide it through a season, dealing with all the usual ups and downs a manager faces.
You control one of 64 clubs, managing a squad of 11 to 15 players. Your main goal is to finish in the top two of your division to secure promotion. You train player skills, handle injuries, and set your lineup before each of the 15 league matches. The game moves at a deliberate pace, with matches presented as text commentary, and the difficulty comes from balancing your limited resources. It feels like a thoughtful, hands-on simulation of lower-league management.
