You play as Brandon, a young man trying to restore balance to the kingdom of Kyrandia after a jester named Malcolm unleashes magical chaos. You move screen by screen, picking up items, combining them in clever or bizarre ways, and talking to a cast of quirky characters. The puzzles range from straightforward to genuinely obscure, sometimes requiring you to think in circles or just try everything in your inventory. It moves at a deliberate pace, encouraging careful observation over quick reactions. Playing it feels like slowly untangling a very pretty, very stubborn knot.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
